Adam Thompson, Counseling Intern

I believe every person possesses the wise guide of intuition, which has the awareness and capacity to turn towards difficult feelings for the sake of healing and transformation. When we turn toward this inner wisdom, our experience of the world can shift—from malaise to vitality, from indifference to curiosity, and from an outlook of despair to one of expansive possibility. The uncertainty of life no longer feels like a source of endless anxiety or apathy, but becomes an adventure waiting to be explored.
As a counselor, my role is to listen for and help illuminate your inner wisdom. Together, we’ll uncover this part of you that knows who you are, how to feel, how to listen, how to connect, and how to take the next step. We will do this by authentically encountering one another within the therapeutic relationship.
I bring a background in eco-therapy, music therapy, and dreamwork to my counseling practice. I support both individuals and couples navigating through grief and loss, relationship challenges, spirituality, and mid-life transitions. I hold a BA in Music from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN. I am currently completing my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Aquinas College, and I am training towards certification in Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy.
As a Counseling Intern, Adam does not participate with any insurances, but does offer a sliding scale ranging from $25-$50 per session.
