Passionate about inclusivity, Kiera affirms and celebrates all identities, with a strong commitment to serving the LGBTQIA+ community. Her clinical interests include anxiety, depression, self-esteem, life transitions, sexual wellness, nonmonogamy, neurodiversity, grief and loss, and trauma—including complex trauma and PTSD.
Kiera takes a person-centered, relational approach, grounded in the belief that each person has an innate capacity for healing and resilience. She integrates a multicultural perspective, recognizing how identity, culture, and systemic forces shape our mental health. In her work with couples, she draws from Emotion Focused Therapy and has completed Level 1 training in the Gottman Method.
Kiera is a Limited License Counselor in the state of Michigan. She holds a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Aquinas College and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Gender Studies. She is also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).
