Connection, growth, and healing occur when you feel seen, heard, and known. That’s why I strive to create a space that invites authenticity, bubbles with curiosity and shows judgement the door. I approach therapy like a conversation: collaborative, with warmth, humor and honesty. Together, we’ll identify the strengths already within you, explore how you relate to yourself and others, and gently challenge what no longer works for you anymore.
In my therapeutic approach, I draw from (but not limited to): Psychodynamic, Feminist, Systems Theory, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I also bring to my approach an awareness of how culture, society, and systems inform and impact your lived experience and our work together. I welcome all identities and am grounded in cultural humility. I have experience and special interest in working with emerging adults and older, who are navigating change, identity, depression, anxiety, relational dynamics, and professional burnout. Due to my own experience, I also have a special interest in working with people who have lived and/or worked abroad.
I am a Limited License Social Worker in the State of Michigan. I received a Master’s in Social Work from Grand Valley State University. Prior to entering graduate school, I spent a decade working in nonprofit settings, both international and domestic, as well as in student and outward facing roles within higher education. These variety of experiences were their own sort of education, helping me learn how to navigate the changes, surprises, and complexities of life. It would be my honor to sit with you as you navigate your own story.
