Alissa is committed to attuning to and providing space for the pain and suffering that often goes unnoticed or locked away. She invites the client to explore their thoughts, emotions, beliefs and past experiences fostering meaningful understanding and transformation of the self. 

Alissa specializes in working with depression, anxiety, grief, low self-esteem, suicidality, faith exploration, identity exploration, trauma, challenging relationships, and life transition. She has experience working with adolescents and adults in traditional private practice and as a counselor in the university setting. 

Alissa is a Licensed Professional Counselor and obtained a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Olivet Nazarene University and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Cornerstone University. Alissa is IFS informed and integrates parts work into the therapeutic process.
